There is a Latin word meaning "Ignoracia juris, non excusat" meaningful in English; "The ignorance of law is not an excuse" and a Swahili translation, we can say: "Unknowledge of the law is not a defense or ignorance of the law can not be a protection against the legal process if you have committed a mistake".
This means that you can not go to court or any other place and say I did not know if there was such a law or I did not know if doing such a act is a legal offense. That will cost you.
There are various problems in offices, family, companies, businesses and jobs. These include people being sentenced, imprisoned, abused, abducted by plots or houses, trafficking, breaking down contracts.
Family rejection, divorce marriages, orphans and orphans abuse, pupils drop or drop school. People are injured and killed, politicians harassed, tortured and imprisoned, women and children raped, fisheries, Aids patients being abused at work, girls forced to marry.
Pastors, celebrities, imams, priests and bishops will not be executed, journalists will be injured and imprisoned, the parents will be abused by foreigners at work, the parents will be abducted by land and investors and many other.
Looking at all these problems well and questioning its sources and places, you will find that a great percentage of people doing so does not know the law and they do not know where to go for their rights.
Sometimes even those who do those things will find that they do not know the law too, except they have their own personalities. Even if they know it but they use the opportunity to mistreat others.
Legal education is important for all citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania. Where the English word is spoken; "If you see education is expensive, then try crazy". But reality will continue to stumble that ignorance is more expensive than education.
You are a witness of your life as well as your family and community around you, because you have probably spent some time getting a lot of money and have lost your rights, your children or your siblings, because you do not know how the law says what's right and right according to your legal status.
You may also miss your rights because you just do not understand where to go or to see who and how long you can get your rights. The problem here is not a fair access, but you who are the right to the right do not have enough understanding or understanding on how to get it.
You may also find that, if the right was available within time or period, then the period may pass without you take any action and you found yourself lost the right.
Any rights you require in any area of the law have been described in one way or another court as well as how you can obtain that right, place and within.
The most important thing in your daily life is to know what the law says about your daily life. Make sure you have enough at least on those basic issues, you will succeed.
